Elizabeth Erckmann Hoemeke
Elizabeth Hoemeke is the CIO of One Inc, the fastest growing digital payments platform in the insurance industry and is accountable for all aspects of technology, infrastructure, product development and security with a budget of over $46 million. Elizabeth reports to the CEO and leads a global organization of over 350 associates located in the US, India, Philippines, Mexico, and Europe. Balancing new product development with management of legacy solutions, she developed the first comprehensive IT strategy, eliminated geographic resource risk, drove the development of a new payments platform, partnered with Microsoft to consolidate all cloud hosting into Azure achieving $750k in savings, drove client onboarding savings of 25 days each, and leveraged Robotic Process Automation technology to reduce call center workload by 45%. Elizabeth has also continued to implement global sourcing partnerships, build high performance teams, optimize the software development process to deliver positive business outcomes. While at US Bank, Elizabeth developed the concept for the Greenhouse, a technology innovation lab, and holds a patent for a robotic automation solution for EMV (Eurocard, MasterCard, and Visa) certification.
Elizabeth’s leadership style is one that creates an empowered, highly engaged workforce with the skills needed to succeed in this era of exponential technologies. At One Inc and Us Bank, she drove the implementation of SAFe across the enterprise. The outcomes resulted in a shift from a project to product led delivery organization, that achieved 50% and 20% greater throughput respectively by applying lean delivery techniques and faster cycle times for new feature development. Elizabeth creates a clear strategic vision for technology in alignment with the corporate objectives with transparency and metrics to drive performance.
Elizabeth’s experience encompasses industries across energy, fintech, payments and banking. Seven years in environmental engineering in the natural gas industry created the opportunity to pivot into information technology as the 3rd industrial revolution began to accelerate. Custom product and client specific application development was the focus of her career at Equifax, a provider of credit data, scoring models and analytics. Elizabeth then moved to First Data, a top global payments company, where she developed and deployed web portals and customer facing solutions as well as developed the strategy for and led capital planning.
