As Brightwell’s Chief Innovation Officer, Robert brings over 20 years of experience in business strategy, marketing, product development, user experience and corporate innovation. In his role, Robert’s focused on uncovering new market and customer opportunities in support of finding paths for transformational business growth and value creation.

Here, his team leans on proven frameworks, methodologies and processes that help companies sustain their competitive advantage through human-centered innovation. By working in a diverse team makeup (skill, mindset, lived experience), the innovation team can view problems from different vantage points and push through ambiguity to gather evidence drive confidence in what might be possible.

Prior to his work at Brightwell, Robert was EVP & Managing Director of Three Five Two, Inc. an innovation agency, where he led the day-to-day operations and company strategy. In his time there, he founded the Innovation practice – a new line of business, where he and his team worked with Fortune 500 executives to address their most pressing challenges centered on identifying new market opportunities, creating new products and services, or pioneering new ventures. In his time at 352, Robert helped category-leading brands like Nationwide, UPS, Kimberly-Clark Corporation accelerate their business growth through innovation.

Robert has a degree from The Art Institute of Atlanta. Alongside his career in innovation, he has a long-time side passion for performing improv comedy that’s proven beneficial with helping clients shift their thinking and pivot gracefully. Robert also serves as a board member for the Amana Academy, a charter school in Alpharetta, GA that uses design thinking and Expeditionary Learning to transform learning outcomes for students.
