Marie Mouchet
Leveraging a natural propensity to "connect the dots" and demystify the complexity of technology, Energy and Infrastructure veteran Marie Mouchet translates technology into strategies for Boards and the C-Suite to help them better understand the criticality of their network, cybersecurity, and technology investments. She offers a rare trifecta of board, technology, and commercial leadership experience, enabling her to understand and communicate the most pressing issues from different perspectives while providing a 30K-foot viewpoint on the challenges and risks impacting organizations today. This along with her easy nature, collaborative disposition, and impeccable integrity, have earned her a seat at the table wherever she serves.
Marie serves on the Board of Advisors for HData, a company focused on developing and providing business intelligence to the US energy industry. She also serves on the Advisory Board for Rausch Advisory Services, a consultancy that specializes in auditing, accounting, and data security. Marie is a Board Advisor and was previously a board chairman and vice chairman for GeorgiaCIO Board of Directors. Additionally, she has served on Customer Advisory Boards for Fortune 200 companies such as IBM and GE, curriculum boards of advisors at universities, as well as boards at many non-profit organizations, including Alpharetta Tech and Women in Technology (WIT) Foundation.
Possessing a technology background that spans both IT (information technology) and engineering/OT (operations technology), as well as digital transformation, cybersecurity & physical security, crisis management, M&A, IT governance, and risk management as the first CIO for Colonial Pipeline and CIO for Southern Company Operations & Southern Nuclear, Marie successfully led efforts to address technical debt and move off legacy systems, transforming into state-of-the-art. She also held a Secret Clearance as CIO Colonial Pipeline (inactive 2022).
Prior to these appointments, Marie held progressive leadership roles in commercial sales and services, national accounts, financial & contract services, regulatory affairs, and electric transportation at Southern Company & Georgia Power, where she expanded her expertise in corporate governance, compliance, growth strategy, and ESG across regulated and unregulated companies.
In recognition of her leadership, accomplishments, and impact, she has received numerous awards, including the prestigious Ed Steineke CIO Award in 2020 by TechBridge. She has been selected twice as CIO of the Year by GeorgiaCIO.
